So here it is. We got it in our posession today. My TRUE birthday present from Dave. My boat! We are so excited, it is so surreal to have this thing parked in our garage. For those who don't know the story, this boat belonged to the family of one of Dave's students. This has been a 1-owner boat, and they treated it like a baby. It is in beautiful, mint, immacculate, perfect condition (especially considering it's age), so we felt like it was a great opportunity. We are the very proud new owners of a shiny red Rinker. Now we just have to figure out how to tow it. Stay tuned for that saga.

The letter L makes an excellent gun
I bet you didn't know that. But the letter L magnet frequently becomes a gun. I was just handed a letter J to fight back, but personally, I didn't think J was that great for a gun. So I told Isaac that I didn't want to shoot him. I only shoot the bad-guys, and he is a good-guy. He then informed me that he is a bad-guy and proceeded to show me his bad-guy face. He was more than happy to show you all his bad-guy face. Here it is, and notice the green L-gun
Also notice the banana and the poptart package on the table. I told him he could have a poptart as soon as he ate the banana. You see he has a tendency of asking for a banana any time he's hungry. Naturally, it's the first thing he sees. Then he takes 2 bites and abandons it. Well, I apparently lost the banana/poptart battle because right now he is sitting at the table devouring a poptart, and the banana is still whole-2 bites. I didn't think he could open packages like that, but where there's a will there's a way. It's better than the Diego fruit snacks battle we had earlier. I think he ended up eating 6 packages of Diego snacks. *Sigh*
I'm glad that I can find some humor in this, because it has been a rough day. Dawson was.... well Dawson. He is NOT easy. I told him today that I'm sending him to boot camp until he's 5. Then I'll reconsider. He just cries all the time, and needs constant entertainment.

Usually Isaac is SO easy, but today was a different story. Maybe it's because we didn't watch any T.V. today. We had a lot of time outs today, and 6 packages of fruit snacks. (Just one more Mommy okay?)
Let's just say that we won't be buying fruit snacks anymore. Or poptarts :)

Clap Clap
Yes... he claps! And he is so proud. He has to take breaks while he's drinking his bottle in order to practice clapping.(Just to make sure he can still do it!) This is a skill he has been working on for a couple of months, but only occasionally did those hands make it together. Now, he's got this down, and boy is he happy about it! Next up on his tricks is to wave bye bye. His favorite sound is ba-ba-ba. So I taught him how to wave his hand while he said ba-ba. However, after doing this 2 or 3 times, he decided he liked clapping better.

The Big Day
It's funny, Dave labled my birthday on our calendar as "The Big Day", but it really isn't a big day at all. It's very laid back, and I don't really care about it. I think maybe I'll stop at 25 anyway. It's a good age, not too old yet, and I don't want to get any older! I'm really quite exhausted from today, between church, and 2 birthday parties it's been a long day. Let me explain: Our neighbors invited us over for Sunday dinner and I told them I would bring the dessert. When I put it on my calendar I realized that it was my birthday, so I decided to bring cake. So...... I made my own cake. It was actually pretty good, and the dinner they made was phenomenal! Then my wonderful MIL had us over for strawberry shortcake. It was delicious. It's 9:45., the boys are in bed, and I think I'm off to bed too. YAWN!
Not the best picture, but this is our little family this morning before church. Notice my little missionaries, and their matching easter ties!

Jack Jack look-a-like contest
Every time I spike Dawson's hair (which still mostly grows on the top) Isaac tells me he looks like Jack Jack from the Incredibles. So I decided to compare them aside from just the hair- the blue eyes, big round face, ears that stick out, pink cheeks, and a crooked smile. The similarities amazed me ;)
:) Sleeping through the night:)
After 8.5 months of interrupted sleep, I can finally say that Dawson is sleeping through the night! He sleeps 8-9 hours and then I give him a bottle and he sleeps another 3-4 hours. I plan on "helping" him conquer those last 3 hours in a week or two. I think we'll be able to do it! But even though he is sleeping through the night..... I'm NOT! My body is so used to waking up every couple of hours that I still wake up. Hopefully I'll get over it soon, and enjoy that elusive full night of sleep I've been dreaming of.
*Update* 3/23/07- Last night Dawson slept from 8:30 until 7:00 this morning, and then went back to sleep until 10:00. THANK YOU Dawson!

Final Aggie Game
For the final game of the WAC tourney we had the Biadas up for a P-A-R-T-Y! My Dad made delicious Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, and we drank Martinelli's. It was nice to have my family up, but we did miss Aimee and Jessica who could not make it.
Here are some pics from the night:Decorations (of course)

The Aggies do it Again!
We went to Tim and April's house tonight (Our future next door neighbors) to listen to the Aggie game. The Ag's beat Nevada AGAIN! It was so exciting we were ready to jump in our car and drive to New Mexico for tomorrow's game.(we changed our minds). And to celebrate the Aggies big win, I thought I'd post this picture showing the Low family Aggie Pride! GO AGGIES! On to New Mexico State!
Today's Photo Shoot
I have the best son in the whole world!
I know there would be people out there who would try to argue with me, but I feel pretty certain that Isaac is the best boy anyone's ever had. Lately he tells me almost every day that he likes my hair. (every once in awhile he tells me he likes my nose too) He is the best big brother anyone could ever have, as the pictures depict. He loves Dawson so much, and takes such good care of him. The transition from 1-2 kids was almost flawless for us, and I give most of the credit for that to Isaac.
Really, aside from the biting phase, Isaac has been a super easy, sweet, happy child. We are thankful that he was always such a good sleeper, it gives us hope for our future children (Dawson still doesn't sleep through the night).
Isaac is learning his ABC's. So far he knows A,C,L,M,O,S,T. Look, he could spell "almost". Okay, that's a little bit in the future. He can type these letters, find them on signs, and identify them when he is asked to. We of course consider him brilliant, but the truth is it is a lot of work getting him to learn these letters. I call it "preschool", and it's a fun time for both of us.
Anyway, the point of this post was really to show off these cute candid shots I got of Isaac playing with Dawson this morning. When Isaac wasn't looking I caught these precious moments on film. Brotherly Love!
Here are the boys right before church a few weeks back.
First Post
In an effort to update my pictures and information more often, I have created this blog! I'm not really sure exactly how I'll use it, it may end up being more of a journal. My only goal is to keep it going. We'll see.
