Roll that beautiful boy footage!

Here are the casual shots, as promised, that "my photographer" took of the boys. There are a handful more coming that capture their personalities masterfully. She is such a talented photographer, it's so fun to get these pictures. Again, her website is www.bitsylanephotography.com.

I have learned from these photo shoots that Dawson is my most photogenic child. And Henry, my most edible child in real life, doesn't photograph that well. I have one gripe: I can't have my picture taken with my baby when I look good. By the time I'm skinny, the baby is grown up. Oh well, it's real isn't it?

Enjoy the pics, I'll have more later.

Hi-hoooooooooooooo!

Since I can always pick out the cartoon character in my kids, here is my assessment of G. Jesse. He has reasonably low, ears that stick out a little bit, gigantic blue eyes, and a big goofy grin. So he is my little Dopey.

Refer to http://ericalow.blogspot.com/2007/03/jack-jack-look-like-contest.html for antother cartoon comparison.

First day of School

I just walked my oldest boy to the bus stop. He's gone. I didn't cry. Not one tear. I beamed with pride and felt like there should have been more recognition for this huge accomplishment in my life. Maybe a parade with confetti in the air and inflatable floats following me as I walked home from the bus stop?

It was kind of fun to wake him up this morning and feed him breakfast alone, with a chance to talk to him and focus on just him. We said a morning prayer together, which we are going to take turns saying. And then we got him dressed in "black and white" which is what his teacher requested since they are learning about those colors today. Now Isaac has always had a phobia of lotions, soaps, and hair styling products. He's gotten over most of those phobias, but I never been able to budge with the hair styling products. But I told him that in Kindergarten you had to do your hair and he fell for it. That proves how excited he was to go to school.

We walked out the door and saw people running to the bus stop. So for his first day of school riding the bus, we had to run. Really, we made it in plenty of time, it was funny that we ran. He stood in line and made his way to the bus when it came. I took lots of pictures, which will probably never happen again. When Dawson goes to school I'll shoo him out the door and tell him to stay by Isaac. But THIS was the FIRST time. Monumental.

Pictures. I didn't know until I uploaded these that I had two big water spots on my lens and some finger prints. So the pictures are kind of blurry. You gotta love when the kids get a hold of your camera.

Here is Isaac in front of his school for back to school night.

Isaac's friend Keston, in front of him, is in his class.

Notice the new Spiderman backpack that Grammy gave him. The funny story is that she bought it for my brother Josh who has always LOVED that kind of stuff. And he said to her, "You think I'm going to walk around school with THAT thing on my back?" So she presented it to Isaac who was absolutely thrilled, and I was thrilled too that I didn't have to buy one!

Bye Isaac!!! Off to a place where people are going to teach and babysit you for FREE!!!!! What a great system.
